Frequently Asked Questions
Who is Liong Mah?
Liong Mah is a custom knife designer and the founder of Liong Mah Design, based in Palm Bay, Florida. Before designing knives, he was a professional pastry chef, and his kitchen background inspired the KUF (Kitchen Utility Folder) line of folding EDC knives.
What is the KUF?
The KUF — the Kitchen Utility Folder — is a folding everyday carry (EDC) knife with kitchen-knife-inspired blade geometry. It brings the cutting performance of a chef's knife into a pocket-friendly folder. Flagship models include the KUF 3.5 in CPM MagnaCut steel.
What blade steels do you use?
We use premium blade steels including CPM MagnaCut, Bohler M390, Elmax, and Damasteel. Damasteel is featured on select models such as the Model 18. Each steel is chosen for its balance of edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance.
What is Eutektik?
Eutektik is the accessible EDC line by Liong Mah Design. Knives in the line are priced at $85, including models like the Trinity, EFD, and Binary. Eutektik delivers the same Liong Mah design DNA at a friendlier price.
Where are your knives made?
Liong Mah designs his knives in Florida and produces them in collaboration with elite manufacturers, including Reate Knives. He also creates collaborative designs that are produced for brands like CRKT.
How much is shipping?
Eutektik orders ship via USPS Ground Advantage at a flat rate of $7.95. Orders over $150 ship free within the contiguous US. International orders over $150 receive discounted flat rates.
What is your return policy?
Please see our refund policy for full details on returns and exchanges.
How do I care for my knife?
Keep the blade clean and dry, and oil the pivot occasionally to keep the action smooth. Sharpen with stones appropriate for your knife's steel. With proper care, your Liong Mah knife will perform for years to come.
