I just got my “GSD” today, and right out of the beautiful presentation, nylon, soft padded carry case/bag, I loved it. Perfection, starting with the gorgeous, marbled carbon fiber on both sides, inlaid into the titanium halves. Everything is perfection, from the almost seamless way the handle pieces are joined, to how the carbon fiber meets the titanium. You practically can’t feel the line between the titanium and the carbon fiber. Of course, the blade steal, m390, my favorite, along with its analogs. The blade is a nice drop point, great utilitarian shape, with a fuller, and what looks like a vapor blasted finish. Mine came razor sharp, almost scary sharp. Then, the most important thing about a flipper, to me, is the action. This is what I expect out of a flipper, a strong detent, and snappy, quick deployment. I imagine, after it breaks in a little, it’ll be even snappier, and smoother. The overall blade and handle length are perfect for edc, and the weight is spot on. It carry’s perfectly, and the ergos are outstanding. I only recently started getting into Liongs knives. His L1 was the beginning for me. His choice of Reate knives for production is perfect. They have a long reputation for outstanding fit and finish.
